Bagoong Honey Glazed Buffalo Wings

Ingredients:

  • 1⁄2 kilo Chicken Wings
  • 1 tsp. Barrio Fiesta Bagoong Regular 2 tbsps. Calamansi Juice
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Cayenne
  • 1⁄2 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Cornstarch
  • Oil for Deep Frying

For the Bagoong-Honey Glaze:

  • 2 tbsps. Barrio Fiesta Bagoong Sweet & Spicy
  • 1 tbsp. Honey
  • 1 tbsp. Hot Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Warm Water
  • 1⁄2 cup Butter, chilled and diced Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions:

For the Chicken Wings:

  1. Combine Barrio Fiesta Bagoong Regular, and calamansi juice. Rub this mixture onto the chicken wings.
  2. Combine paprika, cayenne, our and cornstarch. Place the chicken into this mixture and coat very well.
  3. Deep fry until golden brown. Toss in bagoong-honey glaze until each chicken is well coated with the glaze
  4. Makes 5 servings

For the Bagoong-Honey Glaze:

  1. In a blender, place the Barrio Fiesta Bagoong Sweet & Spicy, honey, hot sauce, and water then blend very well.
  2. While the blender is on, slowly add the butter until well incorporated. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Use as a glaze for the chicken wings.
